Welcome to the Crooked Cottage - directly on the Crooked River in Maine's Lakes Region and Western Mountains. The Crooked is known for its' good salmon fishing. From the cottage you can paddle to other waterways & lakes- all very close. The Songo River, Long Lake & Sebago Lake are all a short paddle or boat ride away. Or just sit on the patio above the river & look upon the folks canoeing, kayaking, tubing & in boats floating down the river on a summer day! Many good restaurants & other activities surround this location. And only 35 min from North Conway NH Outlets, and many outlets for shopping. Visit Attitash, Bear, Wildcat and many other mountains in summer for spectacular views. Try climbing at Cathedral Ledge or mountain biking. Or shop at North Conway outlets - an excellent vacation no matter what you want to do! There are many trails to hike all within walking distance of the cottage- in winter they are snow mobile trails. Horseback riding, scenic plane rides, fairs, antique hunting...Maine is full of natural beauty & can be as relaxing or as action packed as you want it to be. After your fun filled day come back to the secluded Crooked Cottage & relax in front of the fire. The cottage is furnished with all the conveniences you'll need - complete kitchen with microwave, full size stove & oven, dishwasher and many other conveniences. There is a ski tune up shed which also contains dry kindling for your visit! Each bed is very comfortable & inviting. You'll look forward to getting back after your day of shopping, outdoor activities or sightseeing! There's Babe on the couch again!!

This is a view from your back door at the Crooked Cottage! Lots of privacy & the illusion of seclusion yet very easy to get to many local attractions. Near these chairs is a geat addition - an outdoor woodstove! For the chilly fall & summer nights. Snowshow or cross country ski right out the door! Or a quick drive will take you to N. Conway with outlet shopping, Freeport Maine with LL Bean is also only a short drive. Antiquiing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, relaxing in the hammock, lots of good restaurants... The cottage has Satellite TV, DVD player, CD player & stereo, wireless high speed internet (only if you bring your own laptop), fully furnished kitchen, microwave, blender, waffle iron, coffee maker & lots more. Outdoor grille & glass top table seats 6. Outdoor woodstove too.
